Welcome: September Newsletter

Dear Parents and Families,
Welcome to a new and unique fall semester at Colorado State University. As a global pandemic continues to impact our world, we want to recognize how COVID-19 is also impacting you, your families, your community and in particular, your CSU student. This is a challenging time. However, we know our CSU community is resilient. We also know our CSU students live by the saying, “Rams Take Care, Rams Take Action” and they are diligently caring for one another this fall as they make decisions to wear masks, keep a social distance, learn online, engage with one another virtually and find innovative ways to build community. Our parent and family community is a key component in creating this caring, supportive community of Rams as well.
Parent and Family Programs is here to support you all through these challenging times. Our mission is to support our parents, families and student support networks to ultimately, create success for your student while at Colorado State University. As we begin our monthly newsletter, we want to reiterate; you can always connect with our office through email at vpsa_parentfamilyprograms@mail.colostate.edu and/or by phone by calling 970-491-6680. We are here to help answer your questions and connect you to CSU resources. We thank you for all you are doing to encourage your student(s) and we look forward to partnering with you even more closely this fall semester.
The following articles will provide you with important information to support your student. In this edition of our newsletter we cover topics including: COVID-19 response resources, Health Network resources, opportunities for students to find community and build friendships, tips for academic success and more. Additionally, we will be sending a second newsletter this month to share even more vital information. We thank you for your engagement with us through this newsletter and beyond.
Take care and remember, Rams Take Care, Rams Take Action!
