Thanks for your message Clark! Hearing from some other online members, it seems like audio is currently working. Please make sure your sound is unmuted on the bottom right-hand of the screen and that the volume tab under your media player is allowing sound. Thank you!

Audio

Thanks Kacee,

I think it's something on my end.  I'm Linux and Firefox (no win/explorer here).  Is this being recorded?  I'm going to drop, but if it is recorded, I'd appreciate a note to clark@lodge.org.  Dang - I was thinking about coming up this morning, but... didn't.  Have a great session.

Wish I would've learned to read lips!

The "Getting to Year 2 @ CSU" Conference will be held on February 21st and 22nd at Colorado State University. This conference is a great opportunity for first year students to learn about resources and opportunities to utilize in their second year at the University. Encourage your student to drop by the Lory Student Center on these days and check out a few of the sessions, running from 9AM to 5PM.

Clark

Thanks for the comment, Clark! The internet browser may be that reason behind audio - It may only work in Internet Explorer. Sorry you weren't able to make it this morning, but we will be posting a recorded video in the near future. It takes about a week to get a video formatted and uploaded to our site, but it will be there! Sorry for your troubles this morning.

Student Employment Services

Thanks for your message, Susan. There are a couple great opportunities for students to find job listings around Colorado State and the surrounding community. Student Employment Services can be reached at 970.491.5714 - or their website is: http://ses.colostate.edu/

On another note, the "Student Job Listings" link on your student's RamWeb account page has great resources and opportunities for on and off-campus jobs!

Housing Fair

This year the CSU Housing Fair is on February 29th in the Lory Student Center. This unique opportunity gathers a compilation of apartment complexes and housing offices and brings them to one location for students to get information about moving off-campus. Check out the website for Off-Campus Life at CSU: http://www.ocssral.colostate.edu/

Transfer Credits

Thanks for the message, Susan. Studying over the summer at a local community college is a great way to pick up some credits at home! Make sure that your student has talked to someone about transfer credits and if their plans for this summer will meet equivalency requirements. The website to check for that is under the Admissions Office, but specific to Transfer credits and students: http://admissions.colostate.edu/transfer/equivalency

Please also have your student talk to the Registar's office about classes and credits as well: http://registrar.colostate.edu/

re: February 2012

Does CSU have online classes the students can take (during the summer) while they are back in their home-states working during the summer?

Online Classes

Online classes are also offered through CSU for students that want to get credit during their summer and won't be studying here in Fort Collins. Their website is: http://www.online.colostate.edu/getstarted/?gclid=CMeu8IDFlq4CFcIDtgodQFvlKw

Leasing / Off-Campus

Great question/point Susan. I would still encourage her to check out the Housing Fair and learn more about other options around Fort Collins - Couldn't hurt to see the opportunities!

re: February 2012

Susan, at Rams Village they can break the lease for around $150 prior to the summer, so she might find a better deal.
